Update Log
These games are packed with optional stuff not required to beat them, like Gruntys, but I covered those elsewhere. This guide will cover optional characters, dungeons, and other little things.

There's only one optional party member to be recruited in this game. As usual a thread will appear on the message board at a certain point detailing her and her whereabouts. If you choose to go along and help her out you'll gain her member address. You don't need to recruit her, but why wouldn't you?

Terajima Ryoko / Female Heavy Axe

Goblin Tag
The goblins love to "play tag." Of course it's not your usual game of tag. You must go to their field alone and try to kill them. But there's something new. This time you have to beat three goblins per round. Each of the first four goblins will give you a piece of the rare goblin armor. Defeating the fifth will net you the key item "Imp's Cross." Equip all four pieces of the armor after getting the pin and you'll be able to cast a pretty tough summon spell called Goblin King!

[Sigma] Detestable Gambler's Sunny Demon
Goblin: Stehoney T / HP: 1170

[Sigma] Detestable Gambler's Messenger
Goblin: Jonue T / HP: 1310

[Sigma] Detestable Gambler's Scent
Goblin: Zyan T / HP: 1450

[Sigma] Detestable Gambler's New Truth
Goblin: Albert T / HP: 1590

These gobs are pumped up with "turbo" speed. It can get really annoying with how fast they move so have plenty of Speed Charms. You'll also want items to increase both types of Attack and Accuracy! Definitely use Saber Dance on Stehoney T & Jonue T! Zyan T as well, with some The Devil scrolls to sap its SP. Why? Cause each of these first three sets of gobs can use La Repth on themselves and their pals! Albert T can be put to sleep with The Moon so hit him with a Warrior's Bane beforehand. Sleeps wears out real quickly so have around 15 of The Moon with you! Wailing on him with high power blades helps speed things up!

[Sigma] Detestable Gambler's Gate
Goblin: Martina T / HP: 1730

You'll want to take away her magic defense with a Beast's Bane and put her to sleep with The Moon. With her asleep use strong summons skills such as Lanceor CH if you have it. If you boosted your magical attack and accuracy those high level summons will put a quick end to her.

Goblin King is the reward for beating these five goblins. It's a non-elemental summon that attacks one enemy. By this point in the game its so-so in power compared to other summons.

The Hero of Zeit. Like the goblins, this is another special event that you can participate in any time you wish. The point of this event is to get the the end of any dungeon starting with the keyword "Chronicling" in a speedy way. The time to beat for first place is 2 minutes and 12 seconds set by Balmung himself. If you're able to beat that time you will get a set of rare time armor! Rank in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th place and you'll only receive one piece of the set. Bring Speed Charms and Fairy Orbs!
