I wasn't expecting much at all from this game and I wasn't disappointed. Shame on you Sonic Team.


pff. Let me just get right to it.

General


1.)
Collision detection not fixed. Players still run through each other as well as through doors and even enemies on occasion.

2.) RAcaseal's new max ATA is only 230? It used to be 167. 100 levels to get 167, 100 more levels and can only get up to 230. Why?

3.) No new offline quests. Why? They should have included the old downloadable quests and made new ones.

8.) That damn screen saying how you can only use this disk on this DC. argh....! Why must we always go through that?!

9.) Character data loading takes long ass hell and the DC is quite noisy through-out the whole process.

10.) Sonic Team does not reward L100 PSO players with lots more exp then it took to get there by starting them off with even one free level up!

13.) No new Ultimate mode thing/enemy is mentioned in the word builder. That's pretty damn cheap not updating your own program.

14.) LCK can't be raised above 100 still. Shoulda allowed us to get it up to 150 max.

15.) Hunters/Rangers can't learn techniques about L15. I agree they shouldn't have been able to learn the attack ones above 15, but the status/healing ones shoulda been learnable up to L20.

16.) No improved AI. Enemies still run walk in circles like mindless idiots when you're just barely inside a room where you can promptly shoot away at them while they go in circles. Also enemies still get stuck in walls and stuff making them easy targets or even behind each other.

Levels


4.)
Palette-swapped lighting/bitmaps in Ultimate mode to give off the effect that the levels are "new". Palette-swapping is SO 16-bit.

5.) No new random maps. I realize there's only so many places in a level you can place the start and finish teleporters but come on.

6.) Sil Dragons lair while major cool, makes no sense at all O.o You're supposed to find another way into the dome...not to the north pole!

7.) No new rooms in levels. In the Caves winback quest online it has a room in it that you'll never see playing through the caves any other way. So if they can make a new room for online, why not off?

20.) There aren't any new ones, at least not that you can play in the regular adventure mode!

21.) The mesata race level RULES. The ruined palace level sucks..but still. Why in the hell were these level NOT included as part of the main game?!?!!?

Enemies


11.)
The "new" monsters may fool you into think they're different but once you see they have the exact same attacking animation as the enemies of old the novelty wears off.

12.) The "new" monsters weren't even given new voice clips. wtf. WHY NOT?

17.) Some baddies are unchanged. ::coughNanoDragoncough::

18.)
New armor/shields are rare. uh So for another 100 levels we're stuck with the same old weak ass Divinity Armor and Celestial Shield forever unless by some luck we come across one of the new rare defensive stuff?

19.) Traps. It is cool that androids now have these. But only in Ultimate mode? No poison or paralyze traps? You must go to the nurse to have them restored? You can't add them to your customized button list? Good idea, poor execution.
